It begins in Gippsland.
Yesterday we kicked off the first Regional Energy Accord roundtable—and we couldn’t have started in a more grounded, wise and future-focused place.
Gippsland is no stranger to transition. With decades of experience in energy, agriculture and community resilience, it brings a wealth of lived knowledge, hard-won lessons and real insights into what it takes to do transition with community, not to community.
The Regional Energy Accord is about just that: building a better way forward by listening deeply, aligning across sectors and encouraging co-created localised, place-based commitments to guide how the energy transition unfolds.
This is not just a Gippsland story, it’s a national one in the making.
Special thanks to our Gippsland Local Champion Karen Cain, whose leadership, relationships and care created the conditions for a rich, respectful and purposeful gathering. Thanks to all the amazing Gippslanders that showed up and made incredible contributions.
